Foot Bridge

One day, while driving out Coon Creek, I came across this old foot bridge. It looks in good shape and, as you can see, it was made for high water. As far as I know this old bridge is still there, still ready for when it is needed.

RENO by night!

I visited Reno, NV a few years back and learned to love it. I rented a car and went to Lake Tahoe and Virginia City, man that drive was great.

Autumn Cruise

Taken at the Upper Mud River Lake. This lake is hidden in the middle of Lincoln County and is a wonderful get-a-way. Be warned...this place is in the middle of nowhere and the local gas station does not take plastic!

Hobbit House

I found these while walking in the woods around the Sportsman Club, near Winfield WV.

Flight

For once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been and there you long to return. -- Leonardo de Vinci

Stonewall

The statue of General "Stonewall" Jackson stands at the south east corner of the West Virginia Capital Complex. During the summer the capital grounds are bustling with activities, even at night. Other statues grace the capital grounds but none are so beautifully silhouetted as this. It seems to say to me "Southern heritage and West Virginia Pride".

Just Wondering Around...

Kretzulescu Church - Nestled among government buildings along Revolution Square this small Red Brick Church caught my eye.
